Who is Phillips & Cohen Associates?

Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd. was formed in 1997 as a financial recovery services company. We manage personal and estate accounts referred to us by our clients. Our business has achieved national and international prominence by providing compassionate support to consumers and those handling the final affairs of an estate.

Am I personally responsible for this account?

Only the estate is responsible for paying outstanding bills. Family members are not required to use personal assets to pay estate liabilities unless they are joint account holders or legally responsible for the debt under applicable law.

Why am I receiving a letter or phone call?

If you were contacted recently, Phillips & Cohen Associates received information from a creditor client that links you to an estate or personal account. We are trying to identify the Executor, Administrator or Authorized Individual for the estate referenced in our communication.

How can I get support if I’m struggling with the loss of a loved one?

Continued Path is an online survivor support resource provided by Phillips & Cohen Associates for those dealing with the loss of a loved one or a friend.

How do I know this communication is legitimate?

Our communications are sent to the last known address associated with the estate account and include instructions for securely accessing Estate-Serve℠ using the reference number and PIN provided in the letter. If you have questions about the legitimacy of a letter or call, you can contact us directly by phone or email to verify your account details.

How do I sign in to Estate-Serve℠?

Login information for Estate-Serve℠ is available on the initial letter you received or by contacting us. Estate-Serve℠ is a secure online portal that allows Executors, Administrators and Authorized Individuals to manage estate accounts at their convenience.

How can I pay?

You have several payment options:

  • Online: Visit the Estate-Serve℠ portal and log in with your reference number and PIN.
  • Phone: Call our payment line to make a payment or discuss payment options.
  • Mail: Use the payment slip and instructions included with your letter. Each option provides secure access to account information and payment capabilities.
What information might you ask for?

We may need specific information to verify your role as Executor, Administrator or Authorized Individual for the estate. This information will allow us to comply with privacy and Canadian guidelines before providing detailed account information for account resolution.

Can an attorney handle this instead of me?

Yes. If you choose, an attorney or another authorised representative can manage the estate account on your behalf once they are properly designated and verification requirements are met.
